A 22-month-old girl in a stroller died after a collision with a car in North West London.

Police were called shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday to report a collision involving a car and three pedestrians on Eastcote Road, Ruislip.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital and is in critical condition.

A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, serious injury while driving and driving under the influence of drugs.

He is currently detained.

Police officers gathered, including some who were off duty, and paramedics were on the scene.

The child’s family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.

An autopsy is scheduled to take place.

Police are now calling for witnesses or anyone with a dash cam or CCTV footage to come forward.
