There were 22 more deaths from Covid-19 in Birmingham and the Midlands today, including five in a Birmingham hospital.
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust recorded five new deaths from coronavirus.
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust also confirmed five more deaths from Covid-19.
Four deaths were recorded at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Two deaths were recorded in Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
There was another death at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital and the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust.
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust also confirmed a new death.
The death toll in the UK has risen by 103 today. There have been five more Covid-19-related deaths here in the latest 24-hour reporting period in Northern Ireland and 727 new cases of the virus, the Department of Health announced.
The death toll recorded by the department now stands at 658.
There have been 34,832 confirmed cases in Northern Ireland, including 6,828 in the last seven days.
There are currently 342 Covid-19 patients in hospital treatment, with 39 in intensive care.
Scotland has recorded one coronavirus death and 1,122 positive tests in the last 24 hours, Nicola Sturgeon said.
The prime minister told the Scottish government’s coronavirus report that the death toll under this measure, of people who tested positive for the virus for the first time in the previous 28 days, has risen to 2,701.
Sturgeon said 57,874 people tested positive in Scotland, up from 56,752 the day before.
The daily rate of positivity of the test is 7.1%, compared to 7.9% the day before.
Of the new cases, 428 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 274 in Lanarkshire, 105 in Lothian and 97 in Ayrshire and Arran.
There are 1,052 people in the hospital confirmed with the virus, an increase of 36 in 24 hours.
Of these patients, 90 are in intensive care, an increase of four.
