Plymouth is now the region’s coronavirus hotspot, with groups in every part of the city

Plymouth is now officially the coronavirus hotspot for Devon and Cornwall, according to the latest data from England’s Government and Public Health.

Now clusters of cases exist in all areas of the city.

It occurs as the number of cases in the previous access point, the area surrounding the University of Exeter, continues to decline, while the cases in Plymouth have increased.

Data shows that in the week of October 15-21, 48 cases were recorded in downtown Plymouth, Barbican and Sutton Harbor, while the group known as Pennsylvania and the University of Exeter drops to 46.

It has also been revealed in the latest data that all areas of Plymouth are now reporting coronavirus clusters, which are areas where there are more than 2 cases in areas of a population of about 7,500 people. This is due to the fact that Plympton St Mary, previously reported as a non-clustered area, is now reporting three new cases.

Other areas of Plymouth reporting double numbers of positive tests for coronavirus are Mutley, with Cattedown and Prince Rock, Honicknowle and Manadon, Tamerton Foliot and Efford, Laira and Crabtree, Peverell, Millbay and Stonehouse, Ham, Beacon Park and Pennycross, Keyham, Plymstock Hooe and Oreston, Derriford and Estover, Stoke and Pennycomequick, Ford and Blockhouse Park, North Prospect and St Budeaux.

52 new coronavirus cases reported for today, October 25, will appear in the group’s data on October 29.

The government’s coronavirus cluster map divides the country into areas of about 7,500 people, according to the 2011 census, known as Medium Overproduction Areas (MSOA).

The map highlights areas where three or more coronavirus cases have been reported over a one-week period, with the numbers coming off the map one week after being confirmed positive. This means that a case reported on October 14 would no longer show on today’s map, which is October 15-21.

Non-highlighted areas do not necessarily have coronavirus cases, as the map does not highlight or count areas with fewer than three cases, which means that if an area has one or two cases, it will show as 0 to 2 cases.
