A hooded thug set off a massive fireworks blast at a takeout as his friends stood by and laughed from across the street.
Moonlight Takeaway, on Westminster Road in Kirkdale, was attacked by the yob on Thursday October 15 while staff were working inside.
The footage shows a man approaching the store with his face darkened, before throwing a firework through the door and running across the street.
The fireworks can then be seen going off inside the store, filling the takeout with a bright flash and plumes of smoke.
The entire attack was filmed from across the street, with footage capturing male voices laughing and saying “you have no idea” about the unsuspecting takeout worker.
Another voice can be heard yelling, “Ah, he’s running out of him [the firework]”before a loud bang sounds inside the takeout.
A high-pitched laugh can be heard from one of the men, as he records his friend running towards the takeout.

Moonlight’s manager, Amir, told ECHO: “He went through the door and covered his face.
“He threw out the fireworks and the next thing was just, bang, bang, bang, and smoke filled the store.
“It damaged some tiles on the wall and the floor, but fortunately no one was injured.”
Amir explained that this same thing had happened several times during October last year and that the staff just wanted to be left alone.
He claimed that children previously carried out the attacks, but this time he says the attacker appeared considerably older.
He added: “This happened last year, a few times, and no one was hurt back then, thankfully.
“They were kids then, almost doing it as a joke.
