Simon Cowell has been seen in public for the first time since he broke his back 10 weeks ago when he dated his partner and son.
The 61-year-old music mogul looked happy and healthy when he dated Lauren Silverman, 43, and Eric, six, during a grocery run in Los Angeles on Sunday.
He was rushed to the hospital in early August when he fell off his electric bike while riding it for a test drive at his Malibu home.
His departure comes a week after it was reported that he is ‘feeling great’ as he recovers from surgery and focuses on being in ‘top shape’ for his big comeback for BGT in 2021.

Simon certainly looked in tip-top shape when he emerged with his family, sporting a charcoal blouse, white sneakers and shorts.
Despite his happy and healthy appearance, his departure comes amid claims that the star could be ‘out of action’ for up to six months due to his injury, The Sun reports.
A source told MailOnline: ‘The doctors advised Simon not to go back to the final. He walks a lot, swims and feels great, but he’s focused on being in top shape by the start of filming for Britain’s Got Talent 2021 in January. ‘
Another source explained: “His strength is increasing, but the recovery is taking longer than we expected. It was a very serious injury and at first they didn’t fully appreciate it.

‘There was an initial elation that he was okay, when he felt like he had gotten over it by a miracle. Then came the pain.
‘He had about six weeks of agony. By early September, it was obvious that he would not be prepared to travel physically for work. He was taking high-potency painkillers, but he’s not anymore. It also does not have a resident nurse.
‘Since then progress has been made and this week he had a three hour meeting via his iPad. I couldn’t have done it six weeks ago. He is gathering strength. ”
However, the Sun reported that it had been “a difficult few weeks”, and at first Simon thought he would have recovered from the procedure in a few weeks.
On the move: Simon seemed to have no trouble walking as he strutted past despite his recent surgery.
A source told the publication: “Instead, he has had a setback from surgery to fuse two vertebrae and it has proven to be more complicated than a standard tear.”
They added: ‘But he’s also quite vain and the idea of going on national TV without studio makeup, and while taking heavy-duty drugs, didn’t appeal to him.

And despite the alleged complications, Simon appears to be keeping his spirits up with his friend Sinitta, 51, by giving an update on his progress in late September.

Simon hoped to be well enough to film BGT’s Christmas special, but it was recently revealed that he had been forced to withdraw.
His focus now is to be completely fine and ready to be on screen for Britain’s Got Talent’s comeback in January next year, if Covid allows.
