The England midfielder couldn’t resist calling the fan after his comments flopped dramatically

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has trolled a Tottenham fan after his tweet about Manuel Lanzini didn’t age particularly well.

With the Spurs leading the Hammers 3-0 after 77 minutes, David Moyes opted to bring in Lanzini, while José Mourinho just minutes earlier replaced Gareth Bale.

One Spurs fan found the contrast between the substitutions quite amusing, but the last laugh came from West Ham, as they scored three times in the space of 12 minutes to secure a dramatic 3-3 tie.

Lanzini would score an incredible tie in injury time for the Hammers and Rice enjoyed splashing salt on the wounds of a Tottenham fan after the game.

West Ham’s incredible comeback was the first time in Premier League history that a team had avoided defeat after being three goals behind until the 81st minute.

Moyes’s side only had four shots on goal in the 90 minutes, but it made all of them count in the kill as they secured a precious point.

Lanzini was the unlikely hero for the Hammers considering the Argentine was making his first Premier League appearance of the season and had not scored for the club since May 2019.

The 27-year-old was unable to score last season due to a shoulder injury and a season on the bench, restricting him to 24 games in all competitions.

Unsurprisingly, Moyes singled out Lanzini for praise after his draw and saluted the attacker for defending the club when given the chance.

“The first time I came here it was excellent for us. It was difficult, he had to fight for his place because the form of our players has been very good. This is shown by our results,” Moyes said after the game.

“We have brought people to help us and I have told them in the dressing room that they will need them all, some will come off the bench, some will start, but we have a good team spirit too and we want to take advantage of that.”

On the draw itself, Moyes added: “I was jumping up and down, because it was a great moment. Going back from 3-0 to three each. [that celebration] is what you get.

“I think it’s the time when you miss the fans in the stadium. If we could have had them in the stadium going from 3-0 to 3-3 it would have been an amazing time for all of us so hopefully he can get them back soon. “.
