Adele has revealed that she will be returning to television and hosting Saturday Night Live next week.
The 32-year-old singer took to Instagram on Sunday to announce the opening concert and shared a picture of colorful notes showing that SHE will be the musical guest.
After sharing the exciting news on social media, dozens of music fans took to Twitter to speculate that the move could mean Adele is gearing up to release new music.

Adele kept her ad image simple, opting for yellow, blue, and pink notes detailing the date, host, and entertainment show for SNL.
Alongside the snap, she wrote, ‘Damn, I’m so excited about this! And also absolutely terrified! My first host and SNL concert of all things!
I’ve always wanted to do it as a standalone moment, so I can roll up my sleeves and jump in completely, but it’s never been the right time.
“ But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump headfirst into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best, it’s 2020, right? ”

The star continued: ‘It will be almost 12 years from the day I first appeared on the show, during an election … that broke my career in America, so it feels full circle and I just couldn’t. possibly say no!
I am in addition to myself that SHE will be the musical guest !! I love her so much that I can’t wait to melt into a fiery mess when she performs, then get confused as I laugh out loud between all of this. See you next week.’

Adele hasn’t released any new music since the release of her third album, 25, in 2015 and hasn’t had a major public appearance since the album’s tour in 2016.
Music fans were quick to flood Twitter with suggestions that Adele’s appearance on SNL could mean she’s gearing up to release new music.
