Virgil van Dijk was sent off with injury 10 minutes into the Merseyside derby after a terrifying tackle by Jordan Pickford.
The Liverpool center-back pushed his way into the Everton area to attack a free kick when Pickford hit him.
The VAR took a look at the challenge when Van Dijk received treatment, and England international goalkeeper Pickford was very lucky to get away with not receiving a red card.
Dutch defender Van Dijk kept playing for a few minutes, but it wasn’t long before he gestured towards the bench and was forced to give way.

The Liverpool center-back was replaced by Joe Gomez, who was named to the bench on Saturday, with Joel Matip in the starting eleven.
The injury will be another blow for Klopp, who currently does not have goalkeeper Alisson and midfielder Naby Keita.
Liverpool have also had to cope without Sadio Mane and Bayern Munich’s new signing Thiago Alcántara in recent weeks, with the pair out for coronavirus.
