Virgil van Dijk was sent off with injury 10 minutes into the Merseyside derby after a terrifying tackle by Jordan Pickford.
The Liverpool center-back pushed his way into the Everton area to attack a free kick when Pickford hit him.
The VAR took a look at the challenge when Van Dijk received treatment, and England international goalkeeper Pickford was very lucky to get away with not receiving a red card.
Dutch defender Van Dijk kept playing for a few minutes, but it wasn’t long before he gestured towards the bench and was forced to give way.
