A senior staff member of the Kamala Harris campaign team tested positive for coronavirus.
Liz Allen, Ms. Harris’s communications director, tested positive Wednesday night, as did a crew member on a flight the vice presidential candidate took on Oct. 8.
Harris has suspended in-person events until Monday.
She was scheduled to travel to North Carolina on Thursday for events that encourage voters to cast their ballots early.
The vice presidential candidate tested negative for COVID-19 twice since the flight and was not in close contact with any of the people who tested positive, meaning she will not need to isolate herself, according to a statement from the Joe Biden presidency. Bell.
Biden’s campaign said the presidential candidate had no exposure, although he and Harris spent several hours together in Arizona on October 8.
