Donald Trump’s teenage son Barron tested positive for coronavirus but had no symptoms, according to first lady Melania Trump.
Barron, 14, tested positive after his parents contracted the virus, Trump said in a personal post on the White House website.
In the post, titled My personal experience with COVID-19He said: “Recovering from illness gives you plenty of time to reflect.”
She said that after she and her husband were diagnosed with the virus, her mind “immediately went to our son.”
“To our great relief, he tested negative, but again, as many parents have thought over the past few months, I couldn’t help but think ‘what happens tomorrow or the next day?’
“My fear came true when he retested and tested positive. Luckily, he is a strong teenager and showed no symptoms.
“In a way, I was glad that the three of us went through this at the same time so that we could take care of each other and spend time together.
“Since then it has tested negative.”
Writing about her own experience with the virus, Ms Trump said she had “minimal symptoms, although they hit me all at once and it seemed to be a roller coaster of symptoms in the days after.”

“I experienced body aches, coughs, and headaches, and felt extremely tired most of the time,” she said.
Mrs. Trump said her recovery was aided by vitamins and healthy foods, along with medical care from President Sean Conley’s physician and his team.
“It was an unfamiliar feeling for me to be the patient rather than a person trying to encourage our nation to stay healthy and safe,” he added. “Now they were taking care of me and getting first-hand experience with all that COVID-19 can do.
“As a patient and person who benefits from so much medical support, I was even more grateful and amazed by the caregivers and first responders everywhere. To the medical staff and residency staff who have been caring for our family, thank you not saying enough. “

While her husband, US President Donald Trump, spent three nights in the hospital with the virus earlier this month, Ms. Trump said she “spent much of my time reflecting on my family.”
“I also thought of the hundreds of thousands of people throughout our country who have been affected by this disease that infects people without discrimination,” he added.
Trump received an experimental dual antibody therapy, antiviral remdesivir and the steroid dexamethasone.
Dr. Conley said earlier this week that he tested negative and is no longer contagious.
