France and the Netherlands have reported record highs in the daily number of coronavirus cases, Spain has declared an emergency in its capital, and Germany is focusing its efforts on major cities.
Coronavirus infection rates are increasing in Europe as a second wave emerges across the continent.

Germany
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as the mayors of 11 cities, agreed on Friday a package of measures aimed at curbing the rise in coronavirus Infections

Russia
A new all-time high for daily coronavirus cases has also been reported in Russia, with an increase of 12,846 cases. It pushes the total total number of infections there to 1,285,084.
