Amanda Holden has revealed that her babysitter left her daughter Lexi alone while the BGT judge was having fun at Simon Cowell’s 50th birthday party.
The 49-year-old Britain’s Got Talent judge said he came home after the £ 1 million party to find the three-year-old alone.
“It was about 10 years ago now – [Simon’s] going up, ”Amanda joked.
“We stayed there all night, and in the morning when we got home, the woman who was taking care of our children thought we had come home and gone.
“It was seven in the morning and we entered the house and no one was taking care of our children. You can imagine? She was fired, I can tell. It was a great party, with a horrible ending ”.
Amanda recounted the anecdote yesterday on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.
She added that Lexi, now 14, was “okay, obviously,” adding, “But that was the scariest thing ever.”
A source close to Amanda said it was a slip of the tongue as her eight-year-old daughter, Hollie, had not been born at the time. They added that Lexi was never in danger.
Waiters wore Simon’s face masks at the lavish party at Wrotham Park, Herts.
And Amanda remembered there was a 60-foot projection of Simon’s face at the manor house.
She said: “As we were driving in the car, there was no question where the party was. Her face had been projected towards the building.
“Some people have entrance poles with balloons that say ‘party this way’ – his face was on the building.”
Amanda and her husband Chris Hughes joined guests, including former X Factor judges Cheryl Cole, Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue at the party.

The menu featured Simon’s name in spaghetti letters and a baroque-themed marquee had ceilings with mock art of Michelangelo with his face on it.
Amanda also admitted that she was “terrified” to perform Sweeney Todd’s Not While I’m Around on BGT on Saturday night.
