The SNP deputy, whose whip was suspended, appeared to visit a salon on Saturday, the same day she was tested for coronavirus.

It came about when the police launched an investigation tonight into Ms Ferrier for her travels.

Photographs released last Saturday show her in various locations in the morning, including a leisure center in South Lanarkshire, a salon in Rutherglen and a store in Burnside.

She tweeted: “There are lots of new stocks at Sweet P gift boutique in #Burnside loving the autumn colors of the shop window #shoplocal@Local shop_#lovelocal. “

Another message read: “I walked into Vanilla Salon to wish Kelly, Anna and their team the best in the future. I love the décor, which brings a touch of pizzazz to #Rutherglen. They sang the praises of @CarolNugentSNP for all your help. “

He also revealed on his Twitter account: “Supporting the Great British Sports Week with a visit to South Lanarkshire Eastfield Lifestyle.

“Good to see clients return to use gym and dance classes with security in place. Thanks to manager Stewart & Valerie for the tour.”

She was photographed at the leisure center alongside staff, although it appeared to be social distancing.

But Ms Ferrier revealed last night that “on Saturday afternoon, after experiencing mild symptoms, I requested a Covid-19 test that I took that day.”

It is unclear when you started experiencing symptoms or the exact time the test was done.

The Sun has not been able to reach Ms. Ferrier’s office for comment on the reported trips.

After feeling better, he traveled to London on Monday and attended Parliament, breaking isolation rules to stay until test results come back.

He tested positive on Monday night, but then decided to travel back home from London to Scotland on Tuesday morning.

It is not yet known when the SNP learned all the details of his trip.

SNP sources said they only found out that she tested positive and made a trip to London on Thursday.

But she informed them that she tested positive, alerting parliamentary authorities, on Wednesday.

Hours passed before the news was released Thursday night in a statement to the nation.

Nicola Sturgeon and several of her colleagues at the SNP have asked her to do the right thing and step down as a deputy, but she has yet to say whether she will throw in the towel.

And the SNP was accused by conservatives of a cover-up, withholding information and possibly putting more people at risk.

But the leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Douglas Ross, said the SNP’s history was “full of holes” and that Ferrier must now resign.

He said today: “The SNP timeline is full of holes and any reasonable person can see it.

“Now they are stretching the truth daily. If it’s not the Prime Minister lying to the Scottish Parliament, it’s Ian Blackford treating the public like fools.

“Ian Blackford must also answer why he learned about a potentially criminal act Thursday morning and leave it until that night.

“Margaret Ferrier was not even set adrift until after the public outcry and has not yet been fired by the SNP, only suspended.

“Actions speak louder than words. The vital public health message that we must all follow cannot be tarnished. Get rid of Margaret Ferrier and tell us the truth.”

“Certainly I would hope for better, something that made it worse was that it was only said on Wednesday, something that was known on Monday.

“It’s a dangerous, dangerous thing to do.”

He said it was a “violation of the law.”

She faces fines under new English laws, which came in this week, where people face £ 4,000 if they “knowingly” infect others recklessly.

And you could also face a fine for breaking isolation rules, which start at £ 1,000.

Today DUP Jim Shannon revealed that he was contacted by parliamentary authorities when he was sitting near Ms Ferrier at dinner Monday night.

It tested negative, but was isolated as a precautionary measure.

Downing Street has said that Boris Johnson believes everyone should follow the coronavirus rules, but refused to let Margaret Ferrier resign as a deputy.

A spokesperson for No. 10 said: “That is an issue for her and her party. We have been clear on the need for people to follow the rules. It is about saving lives and protecting vulnerable people.”

“The Prime Minister has made it clear that everyone must follow the rules to enable us to reduce the spread of the virus and protect lives.”

In May, Ms Ferrier asked that Boris Johnson’s advisor Dominic Cummings resign after being accused of breaking the lockdown to see his family 260 miles from his home.

Cummings traveled 30 miles to Barnard Castle from Durham, and said it was to test his eyesight.
