Tottenham have signed Brazilian forward Carlos Vinicius on a one-season loan from Benfica, with the option to buy him for around £ 36 million.
Vinicius joined Benfica from Napoli for £ 15m last summer and is expected to serve as a substitute for Harry Kane.
The 25-year-old scored 24 goals in all competitions last season and was linked with a number of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Juventus and Inter Milan.
Vinicius was on loan to Monaco and the Portuguese Rio Ave last season before his move to Benfica.

Vinicius becomes Spurs’ sixth signing in the transfer window, after Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty, Joe Hart and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joined in permanent deals, with Gareth Bale returning to Tottenham on a one-season loan. .
He will be wearing jersey number 45.
