Sergio Reguilon received his Tottenham Hotspur debut last night, and made a great first impression.
The Spanish was deployed by a left back by José Mourinho, which gave him the license to go ahead and support in the last third.
In reality, Reguilon took some of the blame on Chelsea’s goal in the EFL Cup round of 16 clash, slipping a bit with enthusiasm over César Azpilicueta, who faced Timo Werner to score.
From there, however, Reguilon was excellent for the Spurs.
The star, signed by Real Madrid for a fee that could supposedly reach £ 32 million (Sky Sports), was full of energy and was a constant outing on the left.
Fans praised the new acquisition, as did former Spurs star Micky Hazard, who said excitedly on Twitter: “I like the look of Reguilon, he seems like a good player, quick, cool, skilled. I like COYS. “

Fast is probably an understatement of Hazard.
One of the most striking moments of Reguilon’s performance came when Chelsea threatened to fight back towards the end of the first half.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was driving towards the Spurs’ half when Reguilon came out of nowhere to challenge him and retrieve the ball for his side.
TBR view – Reguilon will be a Tottenham favorite
Quick, composed and skilled are words Spurs fans will likely use a lot to describe Reguilon.
His slide on Azpilicueta aside, it really was a tremendous debut for the 23-year-old, and fans should be very excited about his capture.
He has made a huge impression with all his work in the media and behind the scenes after signing, and it looks like he has the potential to become an outright hit with the Spurs faithful.
