Spurs consider a trade for the Germany center-back after Inter valued goal Milan Skriniar highly

Antonio Rudiger started both of Germany’s Nations League games in early September.
Tottenham are interested in signing Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
The German international has been considering his future at Stamford Bridge after falling through the pecking order among the club’s center-backs.
Following the summer acquisition of Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain by Chelsea, Rudiger has not appeared in the first three Premier League games of the season.
Rudiger has yet to appear with Chelsea this season
Frank Lampard has favored players like Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, Fikayo Tomori, along with Silva, but Chelsea have struggled defensively, allowing six goals in their first three games.
The 27-year-old is believed to consider a loan transfer for more playing time before the European Championship next summer, but it is unlikely that Chelsea will allow any of their players to join Premier League rivals in temporary agreements.
Chelsea declined to comment when contacted by Sky Sports News but they rarely do business with the Spurs. Carlo Cudicini was the last player to trade Stamford Bridge for North London in 2009.
Rudiger alleged he was racially abused during Chelsea’s game at Tottenham last December. Both the Metropolitan Police and Tottenham found no evidence to support the accusation.

Speaking on Monday before the Carabao Cup fourth round meeting between Chelsea and Spurs, Lampard cautioned against making assumptions about Rudiger’s future.
“I wouldn’t assume anything,” Lampard said. “And I wouldn’t assume that Antonio or any other player on the team (is leaving).”

Spurs have turned their attention to Rudiger given the high valuation of another target, Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar.
Chief scout Steve Hitchen did research on Skriniar on a trip to Milan last week, according to Sky in Italy.

Spurs are interested, but there is a big gap between each club’s valuation of the Slovak international.
Rudiger, who has suffered major knee and groin injuries since joining Chelsea from Roma in 2017, appears to be in top form as he played all 90 minutes in each of Germany’s Nations League games. earlier this month.
