The Fantasy Premier League benches have taken another hit on Gameweek 3 as Harrison reed (£ 4.5m) is absent from Fulham’s meeting with Aston Villa.
In a week where Daniel podence (£ 5.6 million) and Gabriel Jesus (£ 9.5m) did not show up, managers will be relying on their replacements more than ever.
Reed is currently in the top eight most popular midfielders with a price tag of less than £ 4.5 million, but this time he’s leaving his sponsors short.
Aleksandr mitrovic (£ 6.0m) is Fantasy’s main draw at Craven Cottage, owned by 20.7% of the managers.
The Fulham forward is a key man in the mid-price segment, Patrick Bamford (£ 5.7m) the only FPL forward priced £ 6.0m or less to enter Gameweek 3 with more backers than Mitrovic.
His Leeds counterpart has already recorded five attack returns in three games, but Mitrovic is on penalties for Fulham … in a season where shooting from the point is intriguingly common.
Said that Emi Martinez (£ 4.5 million) already has a penalty to his name in 2020/21, becoming the most-signed goalkeeper before Gameweek 3.
Villa’s cap already has 11.8% ownership and could catch up Alex McCarthy (18.7%) and Mat ryan (17.9%) with a solid score at Craven Cottage.
Jack grealish (£ 7.0 million) was Villa’s last man to score a league goal at Fulham, and also their main threat on the road last season. He posted seven road attack returns in 2019/20 and continues on the left side of Dean Smith’s 4-3-3 system tonight.
As is likely to be the custom this season, Ollie watkins (£ 6.0 million) leads the line for the second consecutive league game, while Trézéguet (£ 5.5m) gets one more week on the right side of the top three.
New signing Bertrand traore (£ 6.0m) will surely be looking at that spot as he waved a yellow flag to be named to Villa’s bench for Gameweek 3.
