27 min I did not realize that Leeds are playing with a three behind Ayling, Koch and Cooper. Dallas is in midfield in what looks like a 3-1-4-2. Or is it a 3-2-3-2.

26 min Phillips’ free kick from the right is headed by Bamford who jumps. He couldn’t get past the ball.

22 min Some action! Burke is right to keep the ball in play and find Osborn, whose dangerous cross is cleared at the far post by Harrison.

22 min Sheffield United seems to have little confidence in the future, which I suppose is not surprising given their recent form.
12:16
15 minutes Everything has been a bit tame so far. No goals, no heavy tackles, no punches from 21 men.
12:14
13 min Klich’s pass to Bamford is intercepted by Ampadu. The Leeds are constantly investigating.
12:08
7 min Phillips was booked for fouling McGoldrick in preparation for that Lundstram shot.
12:07
6 min Sheffield United’s first good attack. Burke makes a nice disguised pass down the left inside channel to Lundstram, who sweeps a first-time shot off the far post.
12:05
4 min Ayling lunges forward from the right side, twists Osborn inside out and fires a fierce shot from 20 yards that is pushed by Ramsdale. A good save, although I was hoping to make it. Leeds are off to a very fast start.

3 min Charming Leeds artwork. Bamford, in the middle line, neatly drops the ball to Klich, who throws a beautiful long pass into Baldock to find Harrison on the left side of the area. He decides not to shoot and cuts the ball to the penalty spot, where it is cleared by Basham. Harrison made the wrong choice, but the preparation was excellent.

1 minute Peep! Sheffield United started from right to left on a windy afternoon on Bramall Lane. They wear red and white stripes; The leeds are in green and dark blue stripes.
11:57
The players are ready. As neutral, I can’t Wait for this.

“I find the nickname of Bielsa from ‘El Loco’ disappointingly unimaginative, “says Ian Copestake,” and I wish I could be re-anointed as ‘Bob.’ This would allow him to be diabolically referred to as Bielsa Bob. “
However, it would ruin that episode of Blackadder.

Ethan Ampadu replaces suspended Jack Egan in the Sheffield United defense, and Tyler Roberts replaces the injured Pablo Hernandez in Leeds midfield.

Pre-game reading
I’ve seen some excerpts from Paddy Kenny’s book, including a great story about Branislav Ivanovic with two QPR players in a simultaneous headlock during a tunnel ruck, and it seems very entertaining.

Preamble
Morning. We’ve missed the fans in every game since closing, but we’ll really miss them today. Bramall Lane would have been a melting pot of ferocity for the Leeds visit. This is the first Yorkshire derby in the Premier League since 2001, and the first between these teams since March 1994, a time when Doop by Doop was giving us all a bad taste.
Today there is an added fascination due to the contest between two of the most liberal coaches in the Premier League, Chris Wilder and Marcelo Bielsa, and because Sheffield United surpassed Leeds to promotion 17 months ago. Leeds pulled it off on the next try, and so far they have exceeded stratospheric expectations with two wildly entertaining 4-3s: a loss at Anfield and a win against Fulham.
United have started with two defeats, although they had a bit of bad luck at Aston Villa on Monday when John Egan was absurdly sent off in the first half. They need points today to jump-start their season. But above all they need them because they are playing with Leeds.
Kick off 12:00 h.
