Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall faces nearly two months on the sidelines with a foot injury.
The center-back has been a key player under Sabri Lamouchi, but will be out of action for the next “six or seven weeks”.
Worrall had started the Reds’ first two league games, but it was one of seven changes Lamouchi made in a 1-0 loss to Huddersfield Town.
The absence of the canteral product meant making his debut in the center of the rear for the summer signings of Loic Mbe Soh and Scott McKenna, since Tobias Figueiredo was also left out of the day’s squad.
And although the duo gave a positive account of themselves, it was still a fourth consecutive loss for the visitors as they continued their terrible start to the new period.
“He will probably be out for six or seven weeks,” Lamouchi said of Worral.
“Something’s broken in his foot.
“It is a blow.
But when you start off badly, you have bad news and bad news.
“With the new players and the new faces, we need some positives, like the two center-backs.
“We need to give new players positivity.”
