Meghan and Prince Harry have become increasingly vocal about the upcoming elections in the United States by urging Americans to vote. The reveal of Meghan’s potential plan was made by a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to royal author Katie Nicholl.
The source said: “One of the reasons she was so willing not to give up her US citizenship was so that she would have the option of going into politics.
“I think if Meghan and Harry gave up their titles, she would seriously consider running for president.”
But those working alongside Meghan have denied claims that she has any serious intention of getting involved in politics.
According to Vanity Fair, a source said: “While it cannot be denied that she is interested in and committed to politics as a subject, she does not have the ambition to enter a political career for herself.”
Earlier this month, a famous agent who knows Meghan said it would not be “beyond belief” for her to run for president.
Jonathan Shalit told the Sunday Telegraph: “She was born in America, she has every right to run for the presidency.
“Ronald Reagan was a top-notch actor who ended up in the White House. Never say Never.”
Shalit added: “The UK has a love hate relationship with the Sussexes, but it is different in America.

“With that issue out of the way, Meghan encouraging people to vote is something that would be praised, not criticized.”
Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan also recently attacked the couple, accusing them of “expressing themselves in such a blatantly partisan manner.”
He added that the bride and groom have “crossed a massive line that should now have dire consequences for the couple who specialize in wanting their royal cake and the freedom to eat it.”
Morgan continued: “The Royals don’t do politics. Not publicly anyway. “
