The Duke of Cambridge has revealed how seven-year-old Prince George, five-year-old Princess Charlotte and two-year-old Prince Louis have given him a new perspective on life and, in particular, the natural world. In an upcoming ITV documentary titled “Prince William: A Planet for Us All,” the 38-year-old said that he “has always loved nature” but that being the father of three has given him “a new sense of purpose.” .
In a preview clip, William said: “Now I have George, Charlotte and now Louis in my life, your perspective changes.
“You want to deliver wildlife to the next generation in better condition.”
William stressed the importance of a united approach and the participation of young people to protect the environment.
He added: “I always believe that it is possible to give hope to young people and believe that things can be fixed.
“I believe that if we all work together, we can make a difference.”
Kensington Palace says the Duke is also joining the program by environmental activists from the UK and abroad.
Sir David Attenborough also appears in the documentary to air next month.
The veteran broadcaster and natural historian highlighted the amount of knowledge that future generations now have about the planet.
William said: “I have found it quite complicated, I am not going to lie, trying to keep the children busy with some kind of work, it has been an interesting few months.
“I learned through homeschooling that my patience is much shorter than I thought, that’s probably what opened my eyes the most and that my wife has a lot of patience.
“We’re basically a good tag team session, I go in with the kids and try to get them to do something and Catherine walks in when, frankly, everything has gone wrong.”
