The Premier League is really underway now with all ten teams in action in the second week of the season.
It was an entertaining set of matches on Saturday and Sunday, with only two teams keeping a clean sheet and many goals scored.
Here are seven things that talkSPORT.com especially enjoyed.
Goals galore
There were 39 goals in the eight games played this weekend in the Premier League.
Everton 5-2 West Brom, Leeds 4-3 Fulham and Southampton 2-5 Tottenham produced seven goals each.
Leicester 4-2 Burnley saw six scored while the rest were seen in Man Utd 1-3 Crystal Palace, Arsenal 2-1 West Ham, Newcastle 0-3 Brighton and Chelsea 0-2 Liverpool.
James Rodríguez on the payroll
James showed his class and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a hat-trick for Everton when they beat West Brom 5-2 on Saturday.
Grady Diangana’s first goal for West Brom was brilliant, but it wasn’t even the best goal of a crazy game.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin tied with a little help from the VAR before James, influential throughout, did what he does best.
The Colombian, famous for that impressive left-handed volley at the 2014 World Cup, proved why his left peg is worth only the transfer fee.
He shifted the ball to his left foot and precisely drilled it through a tight space and into the side net to put the Toffees in front.
Wilfried Zaha’s Revenge
Zaha came back to torment Manchester United with two goals when Crystal Palace inflicted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side with a surprise 3-1 home loss in their first Premier League match.
The Ivorian winger enjoyed his 10th Premier League game against his former club as he scored once from the penalty spot and added an impressive second to lead the Eagles to a brilliant victory at Old Trafford.
For the final goal, the former United player turned Lindelof on the edge of the area as if the defender wasn’t even there, before driving the ball low and hard to a De Gea with the wrong foot at his near post.
He completed a horror show on Saturday night for the men of Solskjaer, whose start to the new Premier League season couldn’t have been much worse.
José Mourinho joking with Heung-min Son
Mourinho decided to have a little fun with Son after Tottenham’s 5-2 win at Southampton on Sunday.
The South Korean scored four times with Harry Kane assisting each, with similar flair each time.
When the BBC asked Son a question about his four-goal loot, Mourinho walked in and said, “Man of the match, Harry Kane.”
It seemed that he was joking, but the ever humble Son replied, “Yes, I would say that.
“I’ll say that Harry is the Man of the Match because he scored one goal, he gave four assists.”
Jurgen Klopp angry
Klopp was unhappy with Liverpool’s bench late in the first half against Chelsea on Sunday.
The champions dominated the Blues and won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, with a turning point just before halftime.
Andreas Christensen initially booked Sadio Mane for a rugby ticket and Liverpool staff reacted strongly to the decision, believing it should have been a straight red.
After a VAR check, a red card was awarded and this sparked celebrations from some on the Reds bench, upsetting Klopp.
Julien Laurens said the manager turned to his own staff and said, “Are you crazy? We never ever do that, okay?
Klopp later confirmed in his post-game press conference that he was addressing a staff member, rather than a player.
He clarified: “IThey weren’t our submissives, it was another member of personal [cheering the red] and I told him that. It’s nothing I want to talk about. “
Thiago’s debut
In the second half, Thiago Alcantara enjoyed Liverpool’s dream debut by breaking a Premier League record.
He completed 75 passes during his brief cameo, 16 more than any other Chelsea player on the field.
It is also the most successful pass completed by any player with a maximum of 45 minutes in the Premier League since records began in the 2003-04 season.
Leicester returns to the top of the league
And finally, it feels like 2015/16 again, as Leicester has risen to the top of the Premier League, albeit after only two games.
Brendan Rodgers’ team won 3-0 at West Brom in the opening weekend and followed the result with a 4-2 win against Burnley on Sunday.
The two-goal gap behind the teams proved crucial, as it put the Foxes atop the league by one in goal difference.
