The government has been accused of making the shots exempt from the new coronavirus restrictions “for their companions” after it became known that groups of more than six may go hunting.
the The “rule of six” went into effect in England on Monday, with members of the public facing fines of up to £ 3,200 if they fail to comply with the new measure, which aims to curb an increase in COVID-19 cases.
However new Government guidelines provided an exemption for some sports and activities, including shooting, which involve hunting and paintball that require a shotgun or firearms license.
Labor has criticized the move, claiming the exemption “shows where the government’s priorities really lie.”
Shadow Environment Secretary Luke Pollard said: “Across the country, people are struggling to get COVID-19 testing anywhere near their homes.
“But conservatives are distracted trying to exempt their big donors’ blood sports passions from coronavirus regulations. That shows where this administration’s priorities really lie.”
“Clearly there is one rule for the cabinet and its colleagues and another for the rest of us.”
Other physical activities that can be done in groups of more than six include team sports such as rugby and soccer, as well as sailing, sport fishing, and polo.

The guide reads: “When participating in a licensed organized sport or physical activity, you should not gather in groups of more than six before and after the activity. You should also ensure that you socially distance yourself from people you do not live with (or have formed a support the bubble with) whenever possible.
“When you play sports informally with people you don’t live with, you should limit your group size to six. It is illegal to do it in a larger group and you can be fined.”
