Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix mega deal could include a tribute to their mother Diana.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have held talks about the film as part of their $ 150 million deal with the streaming giant.
If given the green light, Prince William will be informed, but insiders fear it could fuel the brothers’ already painful breakup.
A source said: “The Sussexes are discussing making a documentary on the history and family heritage of Princess Diana.
“They are the first stages, but it seems that it could happen.
“It will function as a tribute to Diana and build on all the amazing charity work she has done. Netflix would also love to do a documentary on Diana and it’s something they’ve been pushing for. “

But on the impact on the princes, the source added: “William and Harry have a difficult relationship and haven’t spoken for three months.
“These plans could further antagonize its consequences. If it happens, William will be the first to know. “
It emerged last week that Netflix is scheduled to air a taped theatrical show about the Princess of Wales, titled Diana: A New Musical. It is NOT related to Harry and Meghan.
It details the breakup of Charles and Diana’s marriage with strips of vulgar dialogue. And in light of Harry’s deal, Netflix is now being asked to pull the show.
If the Harry and Meghan documentary goes ahead, it will cover Diana’s heritage and the incredible legacy she left behind. The 36-year-old princess, when she died in a car accident in Paris in 1997, helped change the world’s perception of AIDS when she held the hand of a man living with HIV in 1992.

A movie about the princess would reach a large audience. Netflix has 192 million subscribers, including 12 million Britons, and made a profit of £ 1.7 billion last year.
His main films include Birdbox and Murder Mystery, with 80 million and 73 million viewers each. And the television series Stranger Things has attracted 64 million viewers.
Last week it emerged that the Royal Family will take a critical eye on Harry and Meghan’s agreement to produce documentaries and films.
A Palace insider claimed that while they resigned their royal duties earlier this year with the best wishes of all, it was made clear that future trade deals would be “subject to discussion.”
If the Diana project goes ahead, it is believed that Prince William would want to participate. But the brothers are said to still have an ongoing feud that reportedly started in November 2018 when Harry told Wills he wasn’t doing enough to include 39-year-old Meghan in the Royal Family.

Last October, Harry said in a television documentary that he and William were “on different paths.”
The comment came in the ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. He said, “Part of this role and part of this job, and this family, being under the pressure that is under, inevitably, you know, things happen.
“But look, we are brothers. We are on different paths, but I will always be there for him, he will be there for me. I love him so much. As brothers, they have good days, they have bad days. “

The Sussexes were widely believed to cooperate, though they deny it.
The book claims that 38-year-old William warned Harry about former Suits actress Meghan, saying he needed to “take all the time he needs to get to know this girl.”
Regardless, William is expected to get close to Harry on his 36th birthday on September 15.
A source stated: “The brothers have not spoken for months and although Harry wished Prince George a happy birthday in July, there was no contact with William.
“William is likely to break the silence, who is expected to approach Harry on his birthday.
“Harry has also told his friends that he will be with him to unveil the statue of Diana next July.”

Harry, Meghan and their 1-year-old son Archie have lived in the Los Angeles area since March. In July, they bought a £ 11 million house in Montecito, north of Malibu.
When asked about the talks and the brothers’ breakup, a spokesman for Prince William said: “This is not something we would comment on.”
And a Netflix representative added: “There is nothing to say about the programming currently.”
Meghan and Harry did not respond to a request for comment.
