A series of lockdown restrictions in Greater Manchester will be eased next week.

The government has announced that casinos, bowling alleys and other leisure facilities can reopen in all parts of Greater Manchester except in Bolton.

The changes will take effect from 12:01 a.m. M. From Tuesday, September 8.

Socially distanced indoor performances may also be resumed and remaining restrictions on certain close-contact services, such as facial treatments, will be removed.

This will not be allowed to happen at Bolton yet.

These changes will align Greater Manchester, as well as Bolton, Lancashire and West Yorkshire, with the changes made to the rest of the country on August 15.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the infection rate in Greater Manchester is too high to lift meeting restrictions.

The ban on two households mixing in households (or gardens) will continue in Manchester, Salford, Rochdale, Trafford, Oldham, Bury, Bolton and Tameside, except in Wigan and Stockport where no more than two households may be mixed.

In Oldham, In addition to the ban on domestic mixing within homes and gardens, residents will continue to be advised to avoid mixing with people from another home anywhere.

The current blocking restrictions in the north of England, including Greater Manchester, will be reviewed again next Friday (September 11).
