The Wales player qualifies as evidenced by Gareth Bale’s lack of clarity at Real Madrid, but the new signing of Cardiff City shines

Wales kicked off their UEFA Nations League campaign with a 1-0 win in Finland, thanks to a second-half goal from Cardiff City newcomer Kieffer Moore.

It was their first match since qualifying for the European Championship with a 2-0 win over Hungary.

That’s how we tagged Ryan Giggs players for the night.

Wayne Hennessey 6

He didn’t have to do much because the Welsh defense played well and Finland lacked any kind of vanguard. Fortunate, however, to see a rare Finnish shot return from the post.

Connor Roberts 7

Typically hectic game of the Swansea City man. He stepped forward, tried to get involved at every opportunity and continues to impress after toppling record top holder Chris Gunter at right back.

Tom Lockyer 7

Wales’ first-choice center-backs were missing, but Ryan Giggs sees something in the anonymous ex-Charlton and had another solid game, particularly considering Finland played two forwards up.

Ethan Ampadu 7

Pushed back to the position he used to hold with age-level poise for Wales, having previously appeared in midfield at senior level under Giggs. Like Lockyer, he was hardly wrong. Another good game as it continues to flourish.

Ben davies 8

Excellent. Solid in defense, swashbuckling in the overlap, he set an example in the second half as captain with his drive and tenacious tackle when needed. Helped set the goal. Good single player game that seems to get better and better.

Dylan levitt 6

Included for his Welsh debut, the Manchester United teenager helped set things up in midfield. He did hit the ball on occasion, which was unexpected given his Old Trafford upbringing, but what a discovery he will prove in time for Wales. A brilliant experience for him, Levitt will win many, many caps for his country.

Joe morrell 7

Tigre at the tackle, like Levitt, tried to put Wales on the front foot and also helped set things up. Another solid performance for his country. Arguably it could have a slightly higher mark.

Gareth bale 5

We expected the captain to have a blindness to ram the words down the throats of his Real Madrid critics. But the truth is, unfortunately his lack of playing time at club level manifested itself as Bale failed to make his usual impact in a Welsh match.

He didn’t react sharply enough to an opportunity that missed the goalkeeper and took another deflected shot before being replaced at halftime by Harry Wilson, having been holding his thigh.

He ended up on the bench, the last place he would have liked to see the latest events. But let’s not rush, this is Gareth Bale. Will be back soon. Watch out for Bulgaria on Sunday.

Jonny Williams 6

Surprisingly chosen ahead of Harry Wilson, a Premier League player, in 10th place. I worked hard, did a few runs, and won free throws, but we’ve gotten used to Aaron Ramsey’s fickle talent in this role and Williams understandably hasn’t. was able to meet those standards.

Dan James | 7

He looked strong from the start, worrying the Finns with his scorching pace. They really seemed scared of him. And, of course, it set Moore’s goal. Worked again when needed. It’s going to be a great battle between him and David Brooks for a spot in the Euro’s starting lineup when everyone is fit and shooting.

Kieffer Moore (star man) 8

He won headers, on offense and defense, linked game, even showed quickness on his feet by rolling his marker and running down the wing on one occasion. A little unfortunate that a goal was ruled out early, but he came up with the winning goal in the second half.

The typical goal of a forward.

He has quickly become an absolutely critical part of this Wales team with Giggs. And a cut of just £ 2 million for Cardiff City.

His value just went up another couple of million, and he hasn’t played a game for the Bluebirds yet.
