Harry and Meghan have signed an agreement with Netflix to create documentaries, feature films, and other shows.

Comes after the couple made the surprise announcement that they were going to step back as higher royalty at the beginning of this year.

the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will produce films and series for the streaming platform, including scripted series, documentaries, documentaries, feature films and children’s programming.

The Duke of Sussex was caught on camera promoting his wife for a voiceover job for Disney President Robert Iger at the Lion King premiere in London last July.

Releasing a statement, they said: “Our lives, both independent of each other and as a couple, have allowed us to understand the power of the human spirit: courage, resilience and the need for connection.

“Through our work with diverse communities and their environments, to shed light on people and causes around the world, our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.

“As new parents, inspiring family programming is important to us as well, as is telling powerful stories through an easy-to-identify and truthful lens.”

Several projects are already in development, including a nature documentary series and an animated series celebrating inspiring women.

However, Meghan – former star of the legal drama Suits – has no plans to return to acting.

The couple moved from the UK to Canada and then Los Angeles with their son, Archie, shortly after their final public engagement as royalty in March.
