Police found a body searching for 15-year-old Seesha Dack, missing.

The teen was last seen with friends at Fish Quay in North Shields around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Northumbria police said they found a body, believed to be that of the missing teenager, near Tanners Bank in North Shields Tuesday night.

Superintendent Barrie Joisce said: “This is an extremely sad conclusion to an extensive investigation.

“The stunt officers are supporting Seesha’s family during this incredibly difficult time and our thoughts are with them.

“I want to thank everyone who assisted in our search by sharing our appeals, searching the area, and those who have phoned us with possible sightings.

“We will continue to conduct investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the death, but at this time we do not believe that there is third party involvement.”

Police described the teenager as a ‘house bird’

Superintendent Craig Metcalfe previously said foul play was not thought to be involved.

He described her as a “bird of origin” that was not known to leave North Tyneside and had never disappeared before.

Among the areas sought for her were the River Tyne and abandoned outbuildings.
