Aberdeen faces an extremely difficult third round qualification if they beat Viking Stavanger in the next round.
The Dons have arguably had the toughest pool pairs for the four Premiership teams that will enter the hat for the third round draw on Tuesday.
Derek McInnes’s men will look forward to Hungary’s Budapest Honved or Sweden’s Malmo in place of the tougher opposition from the Portuguese giants Sporting Club or PSV of the Eredivisie.
Celtic have lost in the Europa League and there are six teams they could face in the third qualifying round. They will face the winners of KuPS vs Slovan Bratislava, Riga vs Tre Fiori or Sileks or Drita.
Neil Lennon’s men will look forward to another draw at home after two games at Celtic Park during the Champions League playoffs before falling.
The Rangers could face a meeting against Progres Niederkorn, although it is unlikely that they will face their old enemies with the Luxembourg team against Dutch Willem II.
The other group of teams in the grouping with Rangers are the Bosnian side Borac Banja Luka or Rio Ave, or the winners of Hammarby or Lech Poznan.
Motherwell is also in the hat for Tuesday’s draw and has four potentially tough games on the cards. The Romanian giants FCSB or Backa Topoloa of Serbia could be one, or the winners of Osijek vs Basel, Albanian side of Lac or Israeli side Hapoel Beer-Sheva or IFK Goteborg vs Copenhagen.
