Man killed after being found injured in Glasgow flat as locals describe ‘terrifying’ scenes

One man died and another was arrested when police launched an investigation into an incident in a Glasgow flat.

Officers were called to Summertown Path in the Govan area of ​​the city around 12:30 a.m. M.

A 33-year-old man was found injured inside a property in the scheme and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he later died.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Locals at the scene said they had heard of the man’s death before, while another said police had been examining a white car.

A police spokeswoman: “At around 12.30am on Monday 31st August, the police were called to report an injured man in a flat on Summertown Path, Govan, Glasgow.

“The 33-year-old man was transported by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died shortly thereafter.

Locals at the scene described waking up to the huge police presence.

One man said: “I got up and saw all the police cars and vans with the area boarded up.”


A woman on the street said: “I woke up this morning and took the dog out around 9 am.

“The place was totally closed and there were police everywhere. It’s scary.

“This is a good area and there is never a problem around here.”

Another man said: “I saw some policemen examining a white car in the parking lot in the morning.

“Apparently someone has died. There were a lot of them this morning.”
