Jurgen Klopp was caught admiring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s incredible goal against his Liverpool side. Aubameyang scored the first goal in the Community Shield final and it was a blast.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is known for his fierce temper when his magnificent Liverpool concedes a goal.
And just in case. Since the signings of Alisson Becker and Virgil Van Dijk, Klopp’s Liverpool have conceded the fewest goals in the Premier League in the past two seasons.
However, in the Community Shield final against Arsenal he could only admire the opening goal they conceded. Liverpool lost at the Community Shield after losing to Arsenal on penalties after drawing 1-1 in regulation time.
Arsenal had their nose in front until the 73rd minute, when Liverpool drew level, with substitute Takumi Minamino scoring a rare goal.
The match ended on a penalty shootout, with Arsenal at the top, winning 5-4 after Liverpool youth Rhian Brewster missed the only penalty of the penalty shoot-out.
Right at the end of the video above, television cameras capture Klopp smiling and gently nodding his head, as if he was admiring what Aubameyang had just done.
Aubameyang and Klopp were together at Borussia Dortmund and Klopp knows very well what the Gabonese striker can do if he is given inches of space. The duo spent two years together in Dortmund, where Auba scored 41 goals in 94 games with the German coach.
