But head coach Arteta drew attention with a nice touch down the sideline after cushioning Virgil van Dijk’s punt, with some Gunners fans joking that the Spaniard should start himself in midfield.

Fans have been yearning for the club to sign more players this summer but have been impressed by their coach’s skill and have now joked that they may not need a new midfielder after all.

One demanded: ‘That they put him in the center of the field’, while another claimed that he would be the best midfielder of the team if he was introduced in the first team.
And another said the club should consider making him a player-manager if the board cannot reinforce the center of the park.
Arsenal have announced three important signings for the upcoming 2020-21 season: Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares, both in permanent deals after spending last season on loan, and Willian in a free transfer from Chelsea.
