Lewis Hamilton paid a moving tribute to Chadwick Boseman after dedicating his Belgian Grand Prix victory to the late Black Panther actor.
The esteemed star died this weekend at age 43 after a tragic and secret battle with colon cancer, and Hamilton has joined an onslaught of high-profile sports stars to offer his sincerest respects.
The Mercedes superstar performed the iconic Wakanda salute from the popular franchise, a gesture with his arms crossed across his chest, on the podium and took to social media to reflect on an ’emotional weekend’.

Hamilton performed the Wakanda salute, a gesture synonymous with Boseman in the film.
The Black Panther star died at age 43 over the weekend after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
Along with the memorable snapshot of him taking a heartfelt moment of reflection at Spa, Hamilton also uploaded a photo of his pre-race stance in a Black Lives Matter jersey.
He wrote: ‘I want to dedicate this victory to Chad and his family, it was a great inspiration and his legacy will endure.
“I am publishing this image because we must continue fighting for equality, nothing has changed yet and the battle continues.”

The world champion led the way by sharing messages for the actor before sealing pole position in qualifying on Saturday.
“I woke up today to the sad news, our superhero passed away,” he wrote on Twitter. ‘I am so grateful to have met you bro. Thank you for all that you have done for us.

Boseman passed away at his home in Los Angeles with his wife and family by his side.
