There are “no plans” to move Glastonbury from its traditional weekend in June next year, organizers say.

Founder Michael Eavis has previously said it was “delusions” could happen then, and that the only “certainty” for the iconic music festival was 2022, due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The festival was canceled this year due to the virus.

But on Sunday, her daughter and co-organizer, Emily Eavis, said she hopes it will take place next summer and not be delayed until the fall.

In a tweet, he wrote: “For those who have been asking, we have no plans to move next year Glastonbury through September 2021, we are still targeting June. “

However, next year’s event at Worthy Farm in Somerset is already sold out, and the organizers honor tickets purchased for this year.

Ms. Eavis continued: “Also, we have moved our ticket resale from October to April, because very few people have asked for a refund, which means we don’t have enough tickets to resell.”

“In addition, we have extended the free cancellation period until the end of January.”

No announcement has been made as to who could play at next year’s festival.

Headliners Sir Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift and Kendrick lamarIn addition to hundreds of other acts, they were due to perform at this year’s 50th anniversary celebrations in June before the festival was canceled due to COVID-19.
