Liverpool assistant manager Peter Krawietz admits he was not immediately convinced that he should join Jurgen Klopp to move to Anfield.
Klopp brought Krawietz, his former training partner, when he became head of the Reds in October 2015.
The couple had worked together in both Mainz and Borussia Dortmund before taking what they believed would be a gap year after leaving the latter at the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
But when Klopp called to tell him about Liverpool’s interest, Krawietz needed a little time to convince himself that it was the right decision.
