A large group of youths have been caught on film apparently ignoring the closing rules for fighting in a Liverpool cemetery.

The large group of teenagers was seen in the Toxteth Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon.

In the images sent to ECHO, a group of around 20 young people can be seen together, despite the current orientation of social distancing.

Several members of the group can also be seen apparently fighting in the clip captured by a passerby.

Although the coronavirus blockade was slightly relieved this week, allowing people to exercise as much as they wanted, they are not allowed to meet in groups under the current guidance.

A person who saw the group told ECHO: “My housemate and I were going to take a daily walk through the cemetery and when we entered we immediately saw a large group of young people very close together.”

“None of them distanced themselves socially and they fought and made a lot of contact with each other.”

“Another group joined in as well, in total there were at least 20, if not more.”

Under the new guide, issued Sunday night by the Prime Minister, people are allowed to spend more time outdoors and sunbathe where they couldn’t before.

However, we are only allowed to meet another person from a different home outdoors while distancing ourselves at all times.

People are still not allowed to meet in a group of more than two people from outside their home.

The only settings where the law allows it is for work, funerals, removals, support for vulnerable people and in emergencies.
