Boris Johnson joined his fiancé Carrie Symonds outside 10 Downing Street as they led national applause for key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

It was believed to be the first time that Ms. Symonds had been seen in public with the Prime Minister. from birth of his son Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson April 29.

Thousands of people across the UK participated for an eighth week on Thursday night applauding caregivers who risk their lives in the COVID-19 epidemic.

The campaign was originally to praise NHS staff, but then spread to many other key workers, including home care staff, teachers, supermarket workers, and delivery drivers.

On Thursday afternoon, Johnson tweeted a video of him and his girlfriend joining in the applause.

He wrote in the tweet: “Thank you to those wonderful people who care about all of us when we need it most. Tonight, we applaud all of you.”

Both have shared their gratitude with the NHS staff after Johnson spent three nights in intensive care with coronavirus before in the pandemic.

Her son received the middle name of Nicholas in honor of two of the doctors who saved his life.

Union leader Sir Keir Starmer tweeted, “Thank you to the caregivers, the NHS staff and the key workers who are saving lives and keeping the country going. ClapForOurCarers.”

Superman actor Dean Cain shared a video message to Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust staff, thanking them for their hard work during the pandemic.

He said, “I played Superman, of course, well, I played Superman, but healthcare personnel around the world really are superheroes. Thank you very much.”
