England and Spurs midfielder Dele Alli was attacked when two armed robbers broke into his home.

The two thieves also attacked one of Alli’s friends before fleeing with two of his watches and jewelry belonging to his girlfriend, model Ruby Mae, he added.

He tweeted: “Thanks for all the messages. Horrible experience, but we are all fine now. I appreciate the support. “
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said that no arrests had been made and that investigations were ongoing.
A spokesperson added: “Police were called at approximately 12:35 in the morning on Wednesday, May 13, to receive reports of a robbery at a residential address.
“Two men managed to break into the property and stole jewelry, including watches, before fleeing.
“Two male occupants on the property suffered minor facial injuries after being mugged. They did not require hospital treatment.
“There have been no arrests. Investigations into the circumstances continue. “
The latest raid comes two months after the family of fellow Tottenham player Jan Vertonghen was robbed at knifepoint while out of service in the Champions League.
The defender was part of the squad that traveled to Germany for the last 16-second second leg match with RB Leipzig in March when four robbers in balaclavas raided their home.
They were armed with knives, but Vertonghen’s wife and two children were unharmed.
