Kate Middleton News: Prince William and Kate can isolate themselves with the babysitter | Real | News

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have been busier than ever despite being cooped up, but it looks like they may have a guest who has been helping them with the children as they carry out their royal engagements.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge isolated themselves with their children at their Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, during the closure of the coronavirus.

However, the blockade has not prevented the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge from completing their royal engagements.

The royal couple has been doing charity work and virtual tours through video chat.

It seems the couple may have a little extra help on hand when it comes to caring for their three children George, Charlotte and Louis.

While Kensington Palace declined to comment, it seems likely that their nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, also lives with them to help care for the children as the couple remotely carry out their royal duties.

Born in Spain, Maria is a Norland-trained babysitter and has worked for the Cambridges full time since 2014 when George was just eight months old.

At that time, an informant said HELLO! that Maria had “worked for other high-profile families and it was from there that the Cambridge found out about her and hired her.”

Maria has been seen wearing her distinctive brown uniform on previous royal tours and during official family events, such as the christening of Princess Charlotte in 2015.

Norland babysitters are trained in everything related to raising children, from cooking to first aid.

However, in Maria’s case, she likely has specialized training in security and defensive driving.

The Norland babysitter is required to complete a three-year full-time Hons in Development and Learning in the early years.

The modules include promoting health and well-being, children’s sense of behavior, and working with families and communities.

The babysitters then take a fourth year of study after the three-year degree, the prestigious Norland Diploma, during which they will learn Communication in Practice, Food and Nutrition, Health and Well-Being, Play and Learning, and Sewing.

Emily Ward, who was a pioneer in early childhood education, founded Norland in September 1892, with the original site at Norland Place, London.

The university moved several times and opened at its current location in Bath in 2003.

William and Kate have been homeschooling their older children George and Charlotte during the lockdown, and the Duchess revealed that George had been learning about World War II in her lessons.

Like millions of parents across the UK, William and Kate have found themselves homeschooling their children amid the coronavirus outbreak.

While this may sound stressful, the royal couple is finding their new job “highly rewarding.”

The Duchess of Cambridge has taken the reins when it comes to teaching Prince George, the six-and-four-year-old Princess Charlotte every day, according to a source.

But William is also interested in getting stuck in teaching since the schools closed on March 20 and has been busy playing his part.

A source told The Sun: “Kate leads most of the teaching. She spends time every day doing something with them.

“But William is also rolling up his sleeves and getting stuck too.

“Both found the experience enormously rewarding, but it has been underlined by the incredible work our teachers do.”

The lessons for Year 2 student George and Charlotte, who is at the front desk, were delivered on an online platform before classes ended last week for the Easter break.
