Prince Harry admitted that life has “dramatically changed for everyone” in a moving video message today about what would have been the opening ceremony of The Invictus Games 2020.
The 35-year-old prince sent the special recording from his luxurious new home in Los Angeles to cheer on fans and the Invictus community in these unprecedented times.
The Games were originally scheduled for this week in The Hague in the Netherlands, but, like many other events around the world, they were postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
And in his clip, the royal says: “Hello everyone. As we commemorate VE Day this weekend and pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of the entire generation of World War II, we should also have gathered in the Netherlands to begin the Invictus 2020 Games in The Hague.
