Danny Pearce died of a stab, autopsy examination discovered

A person has been charged with the murder of a 31-year-old man who was stabbed for death nearly three years ago in the past.

Danny Pearce was attacked while walking the King William Stroll, Greenwich, South East London, on July 15, 2017.

An autopsy examination found that he died of several stab wounds. A rubbing caused by a gunshot was also discovered.

David Egan, 23, of the Ashmead Highway, Deptford, was additionally charged with possession of a firearm, theft, and possession of an offensive weapon.

The Met Police stated that he was further charged with:

  • Two theft charges
  • Having a firearm imitation with the intention of committing an actionable crime on July 11, 2017
  • Possession of an offensive weapon on July 13, 2017.

Egan was arrested in custody after a quick look at the Bromley courtroom.

He will later appear in the previous Bailey on May 12.

Jordan Bailey-Mascoll, 26, was found responsible in July 2018 for murdering Mr. Pearce and was sentenced to a minimum of 35 years in prison.
