Arrest for murder after a woman “fell to her death from the window”

A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman reportedly fell to her death from a window, police said.

Officers began a murder investigation Saturday morning after a domestic incident at Prescot.

The force said it was called at 3.30 am to the Greenall Court to report that a woman in her 40s was found to be fatally injured as she “reportedly fell out of a window.”

Officers said a 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He was arrested on suspicion of murder and was taken to a police station for questioning.

Images from the scene showed a strong police presence in the area, as officers continue their investigation.

House-to-house investigations will continue today, the force said.

A force spokesman said: “Detectives arrested a man on suspicion of murder following a domestic incident at Prescot in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, May 9.

“At around 3.30 in the morning, emergency services were called to Greenall Court to report that a woman in her 40s had been found with fatal injuries that reportedly had fallen from a window.
