Today could be the hottest day of the year in Britain with mercury ready to hit 26 ° C.
According to the Meteorological Office, south east England is poised to bask in the scorching sun as the nation spends its seventh weekend shut in due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Temperatures are forecast to reach 23 ° C in London, Manchester and Cardiff, and 18 ° C in Edinburgh and Belfast.
