Westlife is devastated after the coronavirus forced them to cancel their next tour of the stadium.
The Irish boy band released a statement on Twitter saying: “To all of our UK fans, it is very sad that despite best efforts, our shows scheduled for the UK in June and July should be canceled.”
Band member Nicky Byrne told Mirror Online that the safety of his fans was the most important thing to them.
He said: “The health, safety and enjoyment of everyone who attended our shows has always been of utmost importance to us, we will all come back stronger than before and on the positive side, it gives us all an extra year to do. well our dance moves. ” “
Nicky and his bandmates Shane Filan, Kian Egan, and Mark Feehily have been enjoying great success back after reuniting in 2018 for their 20th anniversary.

Westlife was also forced to cancel its No1 DVD celebrations due to coronavirus.
The boys were shocked to see their DVD of The Twenty Tour – Live from Croke Park, number 1 on the DVD charts.
But they stopped their celebration plans and returned to their families in Ireland as the coronavirus continues to spread.
A source exclusively told Mirror Online: “The success of the DVD has been another brilliant achievement for Westlife, but the celebrations have been muted due to the coronavirus crisis and out of respect for all concerned.
“All promotional activity is on hold for the foreseeable future.
“It is a worrying time for everyone, so the band naturally wants to be home with their families until it is safe to return to work. They are thrilled with the success of the DVD, especially after the number one album in November, but any big celebration. it would be insensitive.
“Shane, Nicky, Kian and Mark are incredibly grateful to the fans.”
