Sam Smith says “100 percent” had a coronavirus after experiencing symptoms weeks ago.
The singer, who uses the pronoun ‘they’, told Zane Lowe of Apple Music that they think they gave it to his sister who was staying with them at the time.

“I didn’t get tested, but I know I have it, 100 percent have it,” said the singer.
“I’m going to assume that I did it because everything I read pointed it out entirely.
“So yeah, I think I definitely had it.
“And then as soon as I had it, my sister, five days after me, started having the same symptoms that live with me.”

Sam said they later isolated themselves at their Los Angeles mansion, following government guidelines.
“So she and I just isolated ourselves for three weeks because we knew it. It was clear. Because I have an older nan and stuff, so we didn’t want to risk anything. I got it about two weeks before the UK really will hit.
“Well, I think I got it. I don’t know 100 percent, but I got it and then, as everyone was really locked up, that’s when I got over it, luckily.”
The singer’s fans jumped to her defense after they were trolled by posting a photo of her collapse during the quarantine.
