But before taking the first prize, his quizzes-obsessed wife Diana and his brother, Adrian Pullock of the Vale of Glamorgan, went home with £ 32,000 each after hitting the hot seat on the Who game show wants to be a Millionaire ?.
Now, the footage from their two appearances has reappeared on YouTube, and fans admit they were eager to see the real-life people behind the characters.

Adrian, played by Trystan Gravelle in the television adaptation, earned £ 32,000 when he appeared on the show in 2000.
In the resurfaced clip, Adrian was visibly ecstatic after winning “the fastest fingers first” and explained that he wanted to be on the show since his debut.
Chris Tarrant joked with computer consultant Adrian, he had been on the show four times since September 1998, but had just arrived in the hot seat.
The host joked, ‘I can’t believe it after all these years. You’ve been here more than me.
Adrian played ten challenges before incorrectly answering a question about United States Labor Day, despite asking his father Arthur for help.

Until the last two responses, he wrongly said that the party is held in May and not in September.
In the ITV series, Diana Ingram is played by Sian Clifford, who is best known for starring in the BBC Fleabag.
Diana Ingram also took home £ 32,000, before finding herself at the center of the scandal, where her husband won the show because test partner Tecwen Whittock coughed in the audience to indicate the correct answers.
“I’m going to save a lifeline,” he said, before incorrectly answering his last question on the show.
He missed his chance to chase the £ 1 million prize in 2001, when he said that The Hunting Of The Snark was written by Edward Lear and not Lewis Carroll.
Charles, Diana and Tecwen were convicted of cheating in a 2003 Crown Court trial.
Years later, Charles and Diana continued to seek fame with appearances in Wife Swap and The Weakest Link.
