A large police presence descended on a residential street in Wirral after a man was stabbed in the stomach.
Merseyside Police confirmed that emergency services were called to Rodney Street in Birkenhead on Wednesday, March 3.
A spokeswoman for the force said that around 4:30 p.m. police received reports of a 26-year-old man stabbed in the stomach at a property on Rodney Street.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police recovered a knife.
Investigations are underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
