Yet government officials and independent election observers have repeatedly said that the presidential election was safe and that Trump’s fraud allegations are unwarranted.

‘This is an important moment. You are the literal vanguard. And Georgia is a key battlefield in all of this, so I want to thank you for being here, ” Jones told the crowd on the steps inside Georgia’s Gold Dome.

So far, in the tally, there is no indication of wider problems beyond four counties.

Douglas, Fayette and Walton counties did not load all the votes from the memory cards and Floyd County did not rescan all the ballots after a scanner was replaced due to a technical problem, according to Gabriel Sterling, system manager voting station of Georgia. Three of those four counties are Republican.

After the recount takes place tonight, Georgia elections officials expect to release the results Thursday at noon.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger must certify the results of the Georgia elections by the end of the day on Friday in accordance with state law.

In the audit, those four counties resulted in a few thousand votes that were not originally loaded into the state’s election results to be counted.

The Trump campaign may still request an automatic recount of election results after state certification, which would take at least a week.
