2020 US election results LIVE: Donald Trump denounces ‘major fraud’ and threatens legal action

Donald Trump has made unsubstantiated claims that the Democrats are trying to “steal” the election and claimed that he could lose due to “major fraud.”

In a spiel at the White House, he claimed he would go to the Supreme Court, claiming that a group of “sad” opponents were trying to “disenfranchise” their supporters.

He claimed to have been on the way to a “great victory” when he launched indictments in the counting process, with Democrat Joe Biden still a narrow favorite to win the White House.

Most states have followed the same path as in 2016, now with all eyes on the key states on the battlefield of Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Counting the votes can take days and a contentious decision could well end up in court.

Biden entered Election Day with multiple paths to victory, while Trump, catching up on various battle states, had a narrower but still doable path to garnering 270 electoral college votes.
