A woman and a young child were found dead in a flat in west London.

Metropolitan Police say officers were called along with paramedics to an address on Old Meadow Lane, Hounslow, shortly after 4 p.m. yesterday.

The 25-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl who was related to her were pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not yet known how they are related.

An investigation is ongoing, but police believe that no one else was involved in the incident.
